Southlake, Texas (PRWEB) April 22, 2013
Fort Worth, Texas magazine sent more than 4,500 local physicians a survey, asking them to voluntarily rate their peers and name the best doctors in Tarrant County; medical professionals went online to cast their votes. While Fort Worth, Texas magazine provided the fields of specialty, the physicians identified the professionals they regard as being leaders in those fields. The final results were submitted to a select panel of physicians for review. The results were announced March 29.
“The inclusion of Drs. Rothbart and Darnule in this prestigious list of peer-recognized physicians is a tremendous honor—not only for Spine Team Texas but also for the communities we serve,” says Mark Hood, CEO of Spine Team Texas.
As one of Spine Team Texas’ founders, David Rothbart, M.D., board-certified neurosurgeon specializing in minimally-invasive spine surgery techniques, serves as the medical director of Spine Team Texas. He was also recently awarded the honor of U.S. News & World Report “Top Doctor” in neurosurgery by his peers.
Dr. Rothbart completed his fellowship at the renowned Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, Arizona; his residency training in neurosurgery at Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut, before going on to instruct in neuroanatomy at the university. Prior to coming to Texas, he practiced at the Chicago Institute of Neurosurgery and was also an associate professor of neurosurgery at Rush College of Medicine in Chicago.
Amit T. Darnule, M.D., spine pain anesthesiologist, is one of two Spine Team Texas physicians trained and certified in the Minimally Invasive Lumbar Decompression (MILD) procedure for qualifying patients suffering with chronic pain due to lumbar spinal stenosis. MILD has been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for decompression of the lumbar spine.
Dr. Darnule completed his fellowship for multidisciplinary pain medicine at the McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University, where he also completed his residency in anesthesiology and an internship in internal medicine. Dr. Darnule finished medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas.
