“The expansion of Spine Team Texas into the Alliance corridor will allow convenient access to comprehensive spine specialty services for this quickly developing area,” says Mark Hood, CEO
Southlake, Texas (PRWEB) January 09, 2013
Spine Team Texas, a leader in back and neck pain care, has expanded their North Texas reach by opening a new location on the campus of Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Alliance. Based in Southlake, Texas, with a full-service office in Rockwall, Texas, and a satellite office in Arlington, Texas, Spine Team Texas recognized the need for spine specialized services to the growing Alliance market.
“The expansion of Spine Team Texas into the Alliance corridor will allow convenient access to comprehensive spine specialty services for this quickly developing area,” says Mark Hood, CEO of Spine Team Texas. “We’re ecstatic to be a part of the medical staff affiliated with Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Alliance and the surrounding medical community.”
As with all Spine Team Texas offices, the team’s philosophy is that spine surgery should always be a last option and only the option when non-surgical interventions have failed to provide long-term relief from spine pain. When surgery is deemed necessary, minimally-invasive spine surgery techniques are utilized whenever possible. “As a result of our strong emphasis on the non-surgical approach to spine care, approximately 90 percent of our patients are treated successfully without spinal surgery,” Hood says.
Spine Team Texas co-founder Juan Bartolomei, M.D., neurosurgeon specializing in minimally-invasive spine surgery techniques, and Ryan Reeves, M.D., fellowship-trained in physical medicine and rehabilitation, begin seeing patients at the Alliance office this month. The group plans to add a full-time medical provider to their Alliance location this year. Both Drs. Bartolomei and Reeves are board-certified in their respective specialties; Dr. Bartolomei is bilingual in English/Spanish.
Along with Spine Team Texas founder David Rothbart, M.D., Dr. Bartolomei was recently awarded the honor of U.S. News & World Report “Top Doctor” in neurosurgery by his peers. “Spine Team Texas is extremely proud of the fact that two of our neurosurgeons have been named to this prestigious list of top doctors in their area of specialty,” Hood says.
U.S. News & World Report Top Doctors are selected based on nominations by their peers and reviewed by Castle Connolly’s physician-led research team. The credentials of each physician being considered for inclusion is carefully reviewed by the team with factors such as scrutiny of medical education, training, hospital appointments, administrative posts, professional achievements and more.
