Returning to school after military service can be a daunting task, but the Education Guide offers examples of many colleges and universities that are taking steps to provide veterans a more seamless transition into the classroom"

Washington, DC (PRWEB) March 25, 2013

The latest Stars and Stripes Education Guide is now available to help U.S. military servicemembers and veterans who want to pursue higher education.

With so many veterans back from Iraq and Afghanistan now aiming to begin or return to college, universities are training their staffs to assist these unique students and tailoring their offerings to provide veterans-only classes designed to help them with re-integration. The Education Guide offers information on these topics and on:

  • Funding an education on the cheap
  • Making the most of online lectures
  • Accessing Ivy-league universities by way of two-year colleges.

"Returning to school after military service can be a daunting task, but the Education Guide offers examples of many colleges and universities that are taking steps to provide veterans a more seamless transition into the classroom,” said Sean Moores, whose team created the Education Guide.

In addition to being inserted in the Stars and Stripes newspaper editions, the Education Guide will also be distributed in the United States on many of the nation’s military bases. The Education Guide is also available in a searchable PDF online at http://www.stripes.com/special-pubs/education-guide.
