eSchoolPLUS 3.0 reflects so many of our customers’ wishes and desires. We’ve put out something that is very forward-thinking in its structure, which will allow us to launch into other initiatives that we see emerging in K-12 education.
Bethlehem, PA (PRWEB) June 20, 2013
SunGard K-12 Education, a leading educational software and technology services company, has released a new version of its student information system, eSchoolPLUS. Developed in collaboration with school districts nationwide, eSchoolPLUS 3.0 provides a host of new functionality that responds to the needs of 21st-century schools.
eSchoolPLUS 3.0 features a completely redesigned Teacher Access Center, which is the heart of the software solution's classroom management system.
The new Teacher Access Center allows teachers to quickly access information and processes they need and helps them communicate efficiently with parents and school administrators. The software solution’s gradebook is easily customizable and provides tools for rapidly adding new assignments, entering scores, and extracting grades.
According to Joel Hames, SunGard K-12 Education senior product manager, eSchoolPLUS 3.0 reflects the input of technology leaders and innovators from school districts across the country and includes a variety of additional new features.
“Right out of the gate, we put ideas in front of our customers, before the project even made it into the hands of our development team,” recalls Hames, who is a member of the SunGard K-12 Leadership Team. “The schools offered their thoughts on what Teacher Access Center really needed to take it to the next level. We got a ton of feedback, which when combined with additional direction we received through product enhancement requests and other modes of customer feedback, really guided our work.”
Hames says the result is a product that SunGard K-12 believes will set a new industry standard for student information systems.
“eSchoolPLUS 3.0 reflects so many of our customers’ wishes and desires,” he says. “We’ve put out something that is very forward-thinking in its structure, which will allow us to launch into other initiatives that we see emerging in K-12 education.”
