Bolton, United Kingdom (PRWEB UK) 7 March 2013
UK Healthcare, one of the nation’s top providers of personal and corporate health cash plans, has donated £1,000 to the Kids Cancer Charity, which will help the organisation to provide compassionate care breaks to young cancer sufferers and their families.
The Kids Cancer Charity, formerly the Christian Lewis Trust, specialise in providing support to children who suffer from cancer, and their families. They are perhaps best known for their compassionate care breaks; a holiday programme designed to provide respite to cancer stricken children, their parents and their siblings.
When a young person is diagnosed with cancer, every member of the family is affected, from the parents who are forced to face the unthinkable and the brothers and sisters who might feel neglected through no fault of the family. The respite programme from the Kids Cancer Charity allows families to escape the stresses and strains of their everyday lives and share a much needed break.
These compassionate care breaks include trips to the organisation’s luxury mobile homes in carefully selected locations on the coast of Wales. Here families are provided with a safe haven from the pressures of hospital and treatment. Kids Cancer Charity can also arrange resort holidays in Walt Disney World Florida, and Disneyland Paris. Here families can create memories together, which will last a lifetime.
Compassionate care breaks are free for the family, and all expenses are paid, but the Kids Cancer Charity relies upon generous donations to make these extraordinary escapes possible; donations like the one recently received from UK Healthcare.
The leading UK health cash plan provider donated £1,000 to Kids Cancer Charity during February which directly funded compassionate care breaks at the organisation’s luxury caravan parks. The donation was just one of many made by the company in a record breaking year for their charitable commitments.
UK Healthcare donated more than £56,000 for a variety of worthwhile causes during 2012, and they’re already working hard to beat this figure in 2013. While the company provides affordable health cash plans which allow policy holders to claim back the cost of many diverse medical services, including dental check-ups, hospital stays, prescriptions and surgery,(up to agreed policy limits) they are also committed to supporting as many worthwhile causes relating to healthcare as possible.
Kids Cancer Charity relies upon donations from benefactors like UK Healthcare, and currently requires funding to refurbish their mobile home in Tenby. To make a much needed donation, simply contact Eira Gwynn, Appeals Manager for Kids Cancer Charity, on 02920 489 833.
