Patterson Kia of Arlington named Southern Region's "Best of the Best" in service in multiple categories.

Kia Motors America named Patterson Kia of Arlington’s parts and service department the Southern Region’s “Best of the Best” in two categories for their excellence.

“It’s quite an achievement for such a young dealership,” said Stephen Smith, service and parts director. “We’re exceptionally proud, especially in light of the fact that we’re compared to much larger dealerships,” he continued.

“We’re grateful to our customers for recognizing our small-town, local service-station garage approach,” Smith said.

The dealership has gone so far with the local-garage concept as to install a “service bell” that rings as customers drive into the bay, reminiscent of the full-service gas stations of another generation.

Many of Patterson Kia’s customers start by buying a car, return for service, and end up bringing family cars of other brands into the dealership for service.

Another Patterson Kia of Arlington difference is their one-minute “Quick Alignment Check,” offered to each customer as a complimentary service to help protect tires from unnecessary wear and tear due to poor alignment.

“I don’t want our service customers to agree to any service that they don’t understand,” said Joe Johnson, Patterson Kia of Arlington general manager, referring to the training each service advisor receives to take time to explain options and even give customers the opportunity to look at their existing or new part prior to purchase.

Patterson Kia of Arlington added these new awards to their national Kia President’s Awards from 2011 and 2012, and their Better Business Bureau’s Torch Award. The Torch Award honors businesses that maintain a solid commitment to conducting their business practices in an ethical fashion.

Patterson Kia of Arlington’s parts and service department is open from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday and 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Saturday.
