Seasonal businesses such as WoodburnerWorld may have slower periods in the year, especially on the rare occasions when the sun is gleaming. But when the cold weather strikes, that’s when they’re in their element as they’re ready to give hungry customers exactly what they need.
The retailer has seen increasing profits through 2012 when compared back to 2011 and this could possibly due to the summer and autumn period where the business has really excelled and smashed expectations and predicted figures. It’s thought that this is down to the summer order of traditional stoves that came in towards the end of July...
This order of woodburning stoves wasn’t the regular batch of £1,000 big-brand named stoves; it was a smaller brand which focused on quality and value for money. Based on the sales figures and the speed at which this particular range of stoves sold out, it’s safe to say that people tend to opt for budget priced stoves as opposed to overpriced designer pieces.
Due to this, WoodburnerWorld have made a conscious effort to source a similar style of stove, with high build quality and a low price-point which will hopefully be as popular as the original range. The initial market research and past experience proves this to be true, but the true test will come when they arrive in stock.
Lee Taylor, General Manager at WoodburnerWorld commented: “The stoves look as if they will arrive in early November which will give us time to upload and optimise them on the website ready to sell before the winter weather really sets in. We’d strongly advise people to keep an eye out for when these stoves hit the website as we sold out in less than 6 weeks last time and with Christmas just around the corner, we expect this window of opportunity to significantly decrease!”
Woodburning-Stoves.co.uk is currently hosted on the new and constantly expanding Online Home Retail Network. The OHR network at present hosts in excess of 50 sites which all sell a wide range of products; anything from Franke kitchen sinks and cordless drills to mahogany toilet seats and even protective clothing. Online Home Retail Limited originally started out as Plumbworld Ltd back in 1999 and since then it has been bought by the Grafton Group PLC in 2006 and received a major rebrand in 2012. The business now employs close to 60 people in its purpose built warehouse & offices, along with a turnover that is nearing £25 million a year.
