Jensen, Utah (PRWEB) December 07, 2012

Adrift Adventures, a river rafting company in Dinosaur National Monument, has announced commercial launch dates for next spring’s Yampa River multi-day rafting season to span May 29 – June 20, 2013.

The authorized concessionaire of the National Park Service will offer one four-day Yampa River trip to launch May 29, 2013; and five five-day Yampa River trips to launch June 5, June 12, June 15, June 19, and June 20, 2013, according to Jenny Biggs, operations manager at Adrift Adventures.

“These are all-inclusive luxury rafting trips,” Biggs said. “Adrift Adventures will take care of logistics and our guides will do the dirty work so that guests can simply enjoy the beauty and adventure.”

This section of the Yampa River meanders 72 miles through the heart of Dinosaur National Monument, and there are no roads, so all food and gear is packed on rafts and brought to a remote camp each night, according to Biggs.

“Leave no trace camping is essential to keep the Yampa River pristine, so we pack out whatever we pack in,” Biggs explained. “Portable toilets, trash receptacles, privacy tents and hand-washing stations are provided.”

According to Eileen Peterson, general manager at Adrift Adventures, prices for these Yampa River multi-day rafting trips are $845 per adult and $250 per child 12 and under. Meals are included from first day to last day lunch and exclusive rafting trips can be organized with a minimum of six people.

“This section of the Yampa River is one of the most sought after rafting trips in the world,” Peterson explained. “The reasons start with its stunning beauty, interesting history and fun whitewater, but I think many people are drawn to the fact that it’s the last major free-flowing river in the Colorado River system.”

Launch dates for the Yampa River in Dinosaur National Monument are set by the National Parks Service and are non-negotiable. A $200 per person deposit is due at time of booking, according to Peterson.

Adrift Adventures has provided fully guided rafting trips in Dinosaur National Monument since 1980.
