Food for Change, organized by Bangalore Cares and sponsored by HH Sheikha Arwa Al Qassimi, emerged as the event that encouraged many to participate in helping out the unfortunates of the society. The event, much successful than its previous events, raised a total of INR 43.37 lakhs by various individual and organizations.
Much to its appreciation, Bangalore Cares skillfully organized a vital philanthropy event that made surprising results. Their ‘festival of giving’ saw over 650 people participating and helping the event by contributing a minimum of INR 5000 each. The event took place in the much renowned ‘The Joy of Giving Week’ that further helped the cause to reach as many people as it can.
JGW provides such philanthropy causes to reach masses and helps bring a difference by attracting a large number of donors around the globe. The week urges and encourages Indians all across the country and abroad to make their contribution paying money, skills and resources. Food for Change by HH Sheikha Arwa Al Qassimi is one such event that brings together people from all walks of life to contribute in a charitable cause.
This year has turned out to be satisfactory for Food for Change with more than expected charity done by the participators which include various companies, celebrities, business heads, NGOs, schools, colleges, and the general public.
The event displayed an attractive gala of entertainment and culinary. While Bangalore’s best and the most famous 5 star hotels and restaurants provided a range of delicious and exquisite food and drinks, the event also saw much acclaimed performances by Thermal and a Quarter and Lourd Vijay’s Troupe.
Yet the event is believed to be just a baby step in reaching out to every unfortunate individual who needs care and love. With many Indians still facing issues like illiteracy, lack medical services, homelessness, and other plagues of the society, the sponsor feels that much is to be done to help all the unprivileged people to come out of the shell of poverty. The organization hopes that they will be able to take some people out from the vicious cycle of poverty helping them out with financially and otherwise.
