The opportunity to upgrade our technology would be so beneficial to our students to help them grow in their individual, academic achievements.

Atlanta (PRWEB) January 12, 2013

On January 9, Atlanta special needs school Cumberland Academy of Georgia announced participation in a local contest by Milner, Inc. Cumberland hopes to be the winning non-profit organization that will receive assistance with technology funds and internal technology support. Cumberland Academy of Georgia specializes in educating students with high functioning Autism, Asperger’s, LD, ADD and ADHD. In constant effort to improve the academic and social skills of each student, Cumberland plans to participate in the technology contest, developed by Milner Technology, designed for Atlanta non-profit organizations, in the hopes of winning a large donation of technology funds.

Beginning January 9 and continuing through January 31, Cumberland hopes to secure additional technology to complement each student’s academic performance. Cumberland is a fully accredited school and designs innovative and challenging programs, which are tailor made for each student. If successful in the contest, the additional technology funds will further enhance the curriculum of the classrooms.

Cumberland Academy of Georgia has a very active parent group and intends to use the parents' commitment to the school to help with the contest. Each day, parents, staff, and employees will vote for Cumberland. Founding Director, Debbi Scarborough, is encouraging participation by all: "The opportunity to upgrade our technology would be so beneficial to our students to help them grow in their individual, academic achievements."
