On May 7, Atlanta wine store Capital City Package announced the release of Chateau Teyssier St Emillion Grand Cru Classe 2010, rated 92 Points from Parker and available for just $34.99 per bottle. The wines of St. Emillion from the right bank of Bordeaux have been in high fashion for well over 2,000 years, planted by the Romans around 200. St Emillion today is still very much in fashion as the wines of Cheval Blanc, Ausone and Angelus are at the top of their game. The vineyards are planted on solid and crumbling limestone that has been used in the construction of the town of St Emillion, a UNESCO heritage village that is worth a detour, if not for the wines or architecture, the macaroons are perhaps the finest anywhere. The wines of St Emillion as well as its neighbor Pomerol rely heavily on the Merlot grape as a foundation of the wines.
Chateau Teyssier is a large estate of 75 hectares where the entry level wine is made; there are even more luxurious wines made alongside this wine including the 100 point Le Dome!
Capital City Package is currently offering the Chateau Teyssier St. Emillion Grand Cru Classe 2010 for $34.99 per bottle, $31.81 for 6 bottles, and $29.18 for 12 bottles or more, a savings range of 10-20%. In addition, Capital City Package is selling other wines from the estate, such as Chateau LaForge 2010 for $59.99 and rated 94 Points from Parker, Vieux Chateau Mazerat 2010 for $139.99 and rated 95+ Points, and Le Dome 2010 for $324.99 and rated 100 Points. Customers will have the opportunity to take 10% off 6 or more of the three wines listed above as well.
“We’re very excited about this opportunity for customers to purchase this excellent vintage wine at such a low rate,” says Capital City Package’s Certified Wine Specialist Larry Kantrowitz. To learn more, visit http://www.capitalwineandliquor.com.
