Benetrends announces the appointment of Joe Bourdow to the company Advisory Board. Bourdow brings nearly forty years of experience in franchising, advertising sales and broadcasting.

Bourdow led Cox Enterprises subsidiary Valpak Direct Marketing Systems, Inc. as President through fourteen years of record growth helping to drive system-wide revenues to well over $400 million in advertising sales and to a position as one of America’s most admired franchise systems.
Prior to joining Cox in 1991, Joe was a Multi-Unit Valpak Franchisee for 14 years developing early Valpak operations in Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio and Tennessee as well as an early developer of multiple Fastsigns retail sign shop franchises in the Richmond, Virginia area.
Bourdow is a graduate of the University of Virginia where he earned a BA in American History. He holds the Certified Franchise Executive (“CFE”) designation from the International Franchise Association.
Bourdow is currently in his second term on the Board of Directors of the International Franchise Association and the Board of Directors at NOVA Southeastern University Franchise Institute. He speaks and writes frequently on franchising including a long time role as instructor in the “Principles of Franchise Management,” for the ICFE. In February, he was elected Chairman of the IFA Education Foundation Diversity Institute and sits on the Foundation’s Executive Committee.
