BlogHer, Inc. announced today that Mary Beth Gonzalez, who joined the company in February 2012 as Senior Vice President of Sales Marketing, has been promoted to Chief Marketing Officer.
Reporting to Co-Founder and CEO Lisa Stone, Mary Beth will lead the marketing strategy and partner relationship management for BlogHer’s entire digital and event sales force, developing custom content and creative services to leverage the company’s unique approach to storytelling and cross-platform engagement. Her team defines and articulates the value of the quality content, advocacy, and advertising BlogHer distributes to engage 92 million women monthly across thousands of premium blogs, Pinterest™, Facebook® and Twitter™, and as hosts of the largest conferences for women in social media.

Prior to joining BlogHer, Mary Beth led sales marketing for Univision Interactive Media, building best-in-class sales solutions across digital, mobile and video. She began her career in the highly-esteemed Account Management Training Program at DDB Needham. From DDB, Mary Beth was recruited to lead account management at Mad Dogs and Englishmen, then moved to the client side as director of advertising for USA Networks where she led marketing for USA Network during four years in which it was the #1 cable network.
