Boston, MA (PRWEB) November 1, 2010
Commonwealth Psychology Associates (CPA), one of Boston’s fastest growing Behavioral Health and Psychology Specialty Centers, announced the recent opening of their third location in Boston’s Financial District. The Boston-based center has provided a comprehensive range of behavioral health and psychology services including counseling and therapy, stress management training, health psychology and wellness services, ADHD testing and coaching, educational and support groups, and psychological and neuropsychological testing services in the Boston area since 2004. With approximately 20 psychologists on staff, CPA offers an extensive range of specialty services to meet the needs of most clients. A full list of services is available at Boston Behavioral Health and Counseling Services.
While CPA has been serving clients in Boston’s Back Bay and Newton Corner for several years, many of CPA’s clients and referring physicians expressed the need to have services available closer to where clients work. “Our clients are busy professionals who want to handle their medical and behavioral healthcare needs immediately before or after work, or during their lunch hour,” says Dr. Andrea Piatt, founder and CEO of Commonwealth Psychology Associates. She added, “Our clients typically don’t have time to locate various specialists or travel to inconvenient locations – CPA offers the convenience and ease of great locations and multiple specialties within one center,” she said.
“People are under more stress and pressure than ever in this economic climate, which can lead to problems with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, sleep problems and health-related difficulties,” Dr. Piatt said. These kinds of issues can negatively impact how well people function at work and at home, which can add to the stress they feel. There are a lot of specialty services that can help people cope effectively with the stress and pressure of their daily lives.” Unfortunately, many of these services require specialized training and experience and therefore are not always easy to find. “What makes CPA unique is that we are a private practice that is able to offer the broad range of services that often is only available in large clinics and hospitals, yet we do so in more comfortable, professional and convenient settings, she said. “We are trying to make some small part of our clients’ lives a little easier and a little less stressful than it might otherwise be.” With the addition of the Financial District location, CPA has, in fact, made it easier for the many employees in the area to efficiently get the services they are looking for. “Our goal has always been to meet the demand for topnotch behavioral health services in easy to access locations – this is just another step toward meeting this goal and the needs of our clients.”
About Commonwealth Psychology Associates
Commonwealth Psychology Associates (CPA) was formed in 2004 to provide a comprehensive range of behavioral health services within one group practice. While working privately as a neuropsychologist for many years, the founder, Dr. Andrea Piatt, frequently observed the difficulties clients faced when attempting to find appropriate treatment and follow-up resources. Additionally, even when options were identified, lengthy waiting lists and insurance restrictions often limited timely access to care. To address these problems, Dr. Piatt endeavored to create a full-service, multi-disciplinary practice where clients can obtain all of their behavioral health services under one roof. Since then, CPA has grown to include approximately 20 psychologists and medication specialists in three convenient locations.
