Anonymous donations of any amount are taken by request as well.
Students were involved with every aspect of this production, including tasks like directing, managing, lighting, audio engineering, and designing the logo and wristband.
All proceeds from this event will go to the Damon Runyon Cancer Foundation. The foundation provides funds to the best young scientists to pursue innovative cancer research. Their goals include identifying and funding the best and brightest early-career scientists in cancer research, enabling them with the ability to take risks on bold new ideas, and discover new diagnostic tools and treatments by accelerating the translation of scientific discoveries.
The Damon Runyon Cancer Foundation was chosen because it is highly efficient and effective. Since 1946, they have invested more than $260 million in young scientists, with alumni including 11 Nobel Laureates and many leaders of major cancer centers across the US. Every single penny donated goes to scientists and their research; administrative and fundraising costs are paid through an external Broadway ticketing service the organization operates.
