It was our vision to create a stable and productive work environment that offered our employees limitless opportunity
Austin,TX (PRWEB) December 04, 2012
The Charfen Institute, a small business and real estate education, training and coaching company announced today that it was a top 5 honoree of the Austin American-Statesman’s Top Workplaces of Greater Austin. This is the second consecutive year the Charfen Institute has been honored in the top 5 of the Statesman’s Top Workplaces survey.
According to the Statesman, “Employers honored in the American-Statesman’s 2012 Top Workplaces of Greater Austin are similar in at least one way—their employees say they love working for them.” The Charfen Institute found itself ranked at number five among 45 other small businesses—those with 150 or fewer employees—in Central Texas honored. The Top Workplaces project this year involved surveys from over 20,000 Austin-area employees as administered by WorkplaceDynamics, LLP. The surveys asked employees to gauge the leadership, ethics, and values of their workplaces and employers.
“When my wife Cadey and I founded this company, it was our vision to create a stable and productive work environment that offered our employees limitless opportunity,” said Alex Charfen, CEO of the Charfen Institute. “People often ask me if I would describe my company as a family. I would say our company is everything you would want a perfect family to be: stable, fair, and motivating.”
Since 2009, the Charfen Institute has grown from $500,000 to over $10 million in annual revenue and continues to add 85 jobs to the Austin economy.
In addition to being honored among the “Top Workplaces of the Greater Austin Area” in 2011, and 2012, the Charfen Institute and CEO Alex Charfen have been honored with additional accolades, including the Austin Business Journal’s “Best Places to Work” in 2010, 2011 and 2012. In 2011, the Charfen Institute debuted at No. 21 on the Inc. 500 List of Fastest-Growing Private Companies—a rare feat for a company whose employees consistently rate it as a great place to work. Charfen himself won the 2011 Austin Under 40 Award for Real Estate, and the Video Production department of the Charfen Institute has taken home numerous Telly Awards, Omni Awards, and a 2010 Aegis Award.
