The Tulsa Boys’ Home is proud to announce their partnership with Charity Fundraising Packages for their upcoming “Run for the Roses” fundraising event on Saturday, May 4th from 1:00 to 5:30 pm at the Tulsa Pavilion at Expo Square. The 9th Annual “Run for the Roses” fundraiser is a Kentucky Derby themed gala and fundraiser drawing in a sold out crowd of 700 for the past three years.

This year’s event is extra special as Tulsa Boys’ Home celebrates their 95th year anniversary. The Home is Oklahoma’s oldest non-profit residential treatment facility for troubled boys. The Boys’ Home houses 64 young boys with mental, behavioral, emotional and substance abuse problems. Funds raised at “Run for the Roses” will help support the annual operating budget involving food and clothing, individual, group and family counseling, a vast array of recreational activities, and the unique therapeutic equine program.

Executive Director and CEO of the Tulsa Boys’ Home, Gregg Conway shares, “We see life transformations every day at Tulsa Boys’ Home. Our treatment model is focused on true inner healing and forgiveness. Our unique and powerful therapeutic equine program compliments our treatment model and allows the boys to experience a powerful relationship with our horses. We are very proud and excited to have the famous celebrity horse, “Rich in Dallas”, who played Sea Biscuit in the blockbuster movie, on our campus along with our 25 other horses!"

The event venue will be at Tulsa’s renowned Art Deco Pavilion and will be decorated Derby style featuring thousands of beautiful fresh red roses. Bets will also be taken on Kentucky Derby day horse races simulcast live from Churchill Downs all afternoon, courtesy of the Fair Meadows Racetrack staff. As part of the gala event, an auction filled with unique charity auction items provided by Charity Fundraising Packages will be available for bidding.
