(PRWEB UK) 23 February 2013
The website Cheapest.co.uk which was created mid September 2011 (after being split off from its now sister site Cheap.co.uk) had experienced a quiet few months in the end of 2012 after various search engine ranking algorithm changes meant the site had lost one of its largest sources for visitor traffic.
A spokesmen for the site commented: “January really picked up and we saw over four times the traffic seen in October and double that of November 2011. February has almost passed the number of visitors seen in January but the percentage of number of users entering from Google has decreased slightly.”
“The overall percentage of visitors from Google since the site started was 83.18% but for January and February (so far) this has fallen to 74.12%. With almost 9% difference it appears whilst Google still remains our top source for traffic, other sources, well other search engines specifically have helped pass users onto us.”
The website saw its rankings drop in March 2012 which lasted through to the end of October before traffic started to improve and its been rising steadily month on month since this date.
