Though there’s been a misconception in past years that print is dead, if one were to walk through a college campus, they’d be likely to see many students with their heads buried deep in magazines, contemplating National Geographic’s investigation into the illicit ivory trade, discovering what it means if their boyfriend sleeps on his back via Cosmopolitan’s body language decoder, or getting the campus buzz from the latest Study Breaks. But what, exactly, are these students’ relationships with their magazines? How long do they keep the publications? Do they share them with their friends? Are they likely to redeem a discount or promotion they see advertised within the pages?
Study Breaks College Media—a leading college entertainment media company—wants to find out.
That’s why Study Breaks, in conjunction with Campus2Careers, has just released a survey exploring the relationship between college students and magazines, delving into the print and purchasing habits of the potentially profitable and ever-growing demographic.
The survey, out now, seeks to compile information and create a general consensus regarding college students’ relationship with print publications, answering questions about everything from the likelihood of students to use coupons found in magazines to how likely it is for print advertisements to serve as incentive for students to make purchases.
Every student who fills out the survey will be a winner of sorts, automatically treated to a free slice of pizza, courtesy of Austin’s Pizza and delivered via email upon survey completion. And—even better—Study Breaks is also giving away two SOUTH BY SOUTHWEST WRISTBANDS.
