Expert technical consulting firm Creelman, Inc. was recently featured in the March 2013 issue of GeoWorld Magazine, the national authoritative resource for GeoSpatial matters.
Donald Chinery, Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) GIS Project Manager and Creelman, Inc. team member, wrote a feature article for the national magazine highlighting the infrastructure for the “new LAX” and detailing certain aspects of the $4.1 billion airport development upgrade, which is considered the largest public works project in Los Angeles’ history.
“The visionary plans for LAX include expanding and modernizing the Tom Bradley International Terminal to increase the level of service for its passengers as well as accommodate the next generation of larger aircraft, including the Airbus A380,” Chinery wrote in the article.
Creelman, Inc., based in Paso Robles, Calif., is a technical consulting firm on the LAX project, providing GIS staff to support the construction and logistics management team for the Bradley West Terminal. The company’s role is to combine Geographic Information System (GIS) and scheduling data onto a SharePoint platform to minimize construction impacts on tenants and passengers.
“Other major improvements include upgrades to existing concessions … replacement of all elevators and escalators, roadway improvements, and construction of a new Central Utility Plant all located within the Central Terminal Area,” Chinery added.
