You don’t need to use salt as a cheap filler to create a great spice rub, our product line is designed to reduce the use of salt as much as possible while using high-quality ingredients that pack the punch of flavor.

Heather’s Dirty Goodness, Inc. (HDG) seasonings and rubs, famous for using unique, high-quality ingredients with minimal salt, give meats ‘dirty good’ flavor, and, now, four new flavors join HDG Original Seasoning: These exciting flavors are Sophistication, Burlesque, Censored, and Vintage, it was announced today.
“You don’t need to use salt as a cheap filler to create a great spice rub,” says Heather Manley, owner and blending master for Dirty Goodness, a Minneapolis-based company. “Our product line is designed to reduce the use of salt as much as possible while using high-quality ingredients that pack the punch of flavor. This gives consumers options for fantastic rubs that give a lot without sacrificing health and taste.”
Manley gives a brief overview of each new dirty good seasoning below:
- HDG Sophistication is a honey-sweetened rub with powdered beer, blended with the smooth heat of chipotle and ancho chilies. Refine your meats and pastas with its cultured, smoky sweet flavor, or use it as a base for creole or BBQ sauces.
- HDG Burlesque is the perfect rub for chicken or pork on the BBQ or adding a little twist to a batch of chili. Tasty on all meat (shocking!), Burlesque gives your foods’ natural flavors a swing with its unique combination of cocoa, cinnamon and cayenne.
- HDG Censored is hot and spicy, setting off fire alarms with its blend of habanero and jalapeno peppers and selected spices. It ignites the natural flavors of meats and pastas and tastes great on everything from eggs to your favorite pizza.
- HDG Vintage is well-rounded all-purpose seasoning with a berry twist, combining the flavors of juniper berries, smoked paprika, brown sugar and a touch of cayenne to create the ideal rub for meats, chicken, seafood and wild game.
