Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (PRWEB) December 28, 2012
An Oklahoma City Downtown tradition returns again this year. Starting in December of 2002, Bricktown and other close proximity areas unveil a winter wonderland of lights and holiday spirit. Dating back to 2002 and under the operation of the Downtown Oklahoma City Inc., funded by the business improvement group of downtown businesses, Downtown in December has grown exponentially. The early years had modest budgets, and 2005 saw one of over $1 million. The event has only continued to grow in popularity and scope.
This year’s 2012 Downtown in December runs through January 5th, 2013. The event will feature such exciting festivities as outdoor ice skating, water taxis along the Bricktown Canal, snow tubing rides, plenty of great shopping and food as well as beautiful lighting and decorative displays. OKC Hotels like the Bricktown Hotel and Conference Center offer free shuttle service and discounted rates for the Holiday season. Below are brief list of events that the Bricktown Hotel and Conference Center offers free taxi shuttle service to when staying at the Bricktown Hotel and Conference Center.
