EduKick Manchester Soccer College believes in giving student-soccer players and their parents a wide choice of academic pathways as players attending the academy range in age from 14 to 22 and have unique needs, educational goals and learning styles.
So from September 2013 EduKick Manchester will be offering brand new academic pathways from 14 years; iGCSEs and US High School (Grade 9 to Graduation). And for those aged 16 years and over EduKick Manchester offers a wide range of advanced level qualifications. When this is coupled with the existing vocational BTEC Level 2 and 3 Certificate, Sub-Diploma and Diploma in Sport, each student can be advised to take an educational progression to suit their particular academic requirements and goals. And of course EduKick Manchester continues to offer English as a Second Language (ESL / EFL) courses for non-English speaking participants.
EduKick Manchester Principal, Michael Brennan enthuses (click here to see an interview with Principal Brennan), “We’re totally dedicated to continuously expanding and improving the academic choices that we offer parents and players at our soccer school. The addition of iGCSEs, US High School and Advanced levels options will complete our range of academic offerings. This is an exciting development for us all.”
In addition, EduKick Manchester is now rolling out its unique University Placement Service offering individual higher education counselling to each and every one of its student players. “Our trained and experienced counselors are now in school every week, drawing upon a choice of over 70 UK universities, to offer bespoke advice to help take our players through the whole process of UK university application. This extends from selecting the right institution, most appropriate undergraduate degree course, completing applications, preparing and attending for interview and receiving a firm offer of acceptance.” says Peter Hayes, EduKick Manchester Director. “This innovation underlines the school’s commitment to ensuring that each and every young student player reaches his maximum academic potential.”
Finally, in response to parental and student request, EduKick Manchester has now formed a formal link with a high quality contemporary city center student residence in Manchester. This accommodation option allows the older and more mature (available to students aged 18 years plus) a little more independence and freedom whilst still ensuring they enjoy the protection of a safe and secure infrastructure. Parkway Gate is just a 10 minute walk from the school and offers students taking this option their own furnished study bedroom with en-suite bathroom. Students live in clusters of 3 to 5 student bedrooms sharing a lounge and kitchen. Free WI-FI is offered throughout and there is 24 hour on-site security. The weekly rental fee also includes all utility bills, personal contents insurance, bedding and kitchen utensils.
