Life’s too short to waste time at a bad conference. We've spent too many hours listening to boring speakers and eating inedible food. ConferenceIQ gives event attendees the opportunity to shop before they commit time and money.

ConferenceIQ is a global directory of business events and speakers and the leader for independent user-based ratings.
ConferenceIQ is for:
- Business Event Attendees
- Conference and Event Organizers
- Vendors and Suppliers to the Business Event Industry
- Event Industry Partners
Between April and October, more than 500,000 people will be invited by organizers to rate partner events. This will help to build Conference IQ as the resource for event ratings. It also gives their partners the ability to get detailed feedback on a large scale.
Register with Conference IQ: join as an Attendee, Speaker or Organizer and gain access to exclusive Conference IQ features.
Detailed Profile: users can let people know where they can be followed, topics of interest and what events they'll be attending.
Browse the Directory: find events by category, location or date. Browse events by selecting a topic from the dropdowns or by using the keyword search in the header.
Rate & Review Speakers & Events: once registered, users are able to provide their opinion on an event experience. Rating an event or speaker can also be done anonymously.
Connect with Events: receive announcements from the event organizer, have the ability to interact directly with speakers and other attendees and get a head start on networking.
EVENT ORGANIZERS CAN PROMOTE EVENTS
Promoting an event on Conference IQ is free. First, register as an event organizer and then search the directory to see if the event has already been made part of CIQ. If an event is in the directory, there is a two-step process to manage the event profile. Once approved, organizers can edit the profile, receive updates via email and use the site to make announcements to attendees.
EARN REWARDS AND DISCOUNTS
Earn CIQ points and badges by being active on the site, rating events and speakers and contributing to making events better. Points can be earned that will eventually be redeemable for discounts on event registration.
By leveraging Bunchball, the pioneer and market leader in gamification, ConferenceIQ attendees, speakers and event organizers can all be rewarded for a variety of interactions with the conferenceiq.com website. Similar to TripAdvisor, attendees can accumulate points when they engage in certain actions, such as completing profiles; posting, commenting on, liking or sharing reviews; and clicking on event profiles.
As point tallies mount, members earn trophies such as "The Collaborator" or the "Einstein Club" and they are rewarded further for sharing numerous reviews or comments on Google+, LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook.
"An online community like ConferenceIQ becomes increasingly valuable as more people share their opinions and experiences, and gamification offers a powerful way to motivate users to contribute frequently," said Caroline Japic, senior vice president of marketing, Bunchball.
"Because people wish to be recognized for their expertise and opinions, the prospect of creating a positive reputation within a community offers an ideal opportunity for a well-designed gamification experience to encourage and reward users for their ongoing participation. We're excited to see this dynamic take shape with ConferenceIQ."
Conference IQ was founded by business event pros David B. Wheeler and Lise Puckorius in 2011. Wheeler and Puckorius have spent their careers building events, conferences and companies and felt that there was a need for an online destination to get unbiased information about conferences, events and speakers and a tool for speakers organizers to promote their events.
