Columbus, OH (PRWEB) February 08, 2013
Every year, Fadó officially kicks off the St Patrick’s Day season with the Great Guinness Toast, a huge outdoor party that caters to the worldwide club of Guinness adorers who live in Columbus. This year, as the party and live music line up begins so does the fundraising. Starting at noon on Saturday, February 16, featured guests, The Otterbein baseball team, as well as Bar Manager and Dublin Ireland native Ian Montgomery will be shaving their heads to raise funds for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation.
St. Baldrick’s is a volunteer-driven charity committed to funding the most promising research to find cures for childhood cancers and giving survivors long and healthy lives. Fadó is once again hosting the annual St. Baldrick’s charity event in March 16 to support childhood cancer research. The restaurant sets up barber chairs and encourages “shavees” to commit to having their heads shaved at the restaurant. These “shavees” get family and friends to sponsor their head shave with monetary donations in order to raise funds for The St. Baldrick’s Foundation.
The Live music line up starts at noon and runs until 9pm under the heated tent. Ronni Hunter and 99.7 The Blitz will host from 8-11:30pm. Also, this year guests have a chance to win a pint a day for year! Submit your Toasts to enter directly to Scott Neff at sneff(at)fadoirishpub(dot)com
Last year, the “shavees” and volunteers of Fadó raised $32,836 for St. Baldrick’s Foundation.
