Gillece Services’ customers have the opportunity to receive rebates through their utility companies on qualifying purchases, installations, and related energy-saving services. Rebates and incentives are being provided to customers of varying income levels to help with the cost of energy efficiency home improvements. Resources are available to help customers determine their eligibility, and Gillece Services provides many of the products and services that meet utility companies’ rebate qualifications.
Rebates available to customers typically involve energy efficiency improvement of major household appliances. Utility companies such as Duquesne Light and Equitable Gas offer monetary rebates for recently installed heating and cooling equipment of a specified efficiency rating. These rebates provide additional savings for customers who have purchased high efficiency equipment as a way to save energy, cut down on costs, and contribute less waste to the environment. Other rebate programs are available to customers based on their household size and level of income. Columbia Gas offers rebates on products such as heating equipment and water tanks to customers who meet income eligibility. This type of rebate program also focuses on energy efficiency and provides homeowners with cost-friendly options for improvement.
Gillece Services encourages customers to increase the energy efficiency of their home for better performance, cost savings, and less environmental impact. High efficiency heating and cooling equipment, for example, can significantly reduce a home’s utility costs, especially when compared to outdated low or mid-efficiency equipment. Gillece provides and installs high efficiency gas furnaces, in particular, which meet rebate qualifications for Equitable Gas. An Equitable Gas customer may be eligible for a rebate with the purchase and installation of a high efficiency furnace from Gillece. Gillece provides gas furnaces with some of the highest efficiency ratings available, including a 98% efficiency furnace that qualifies for a $750 rebate through Equitable Gas. Utility companies’ rebate offers vary and are dependent upon a customer’s eligibility and product efficiency requirements.
Financial assistance may be available to customers in addition to rebates. Some utility companies, like Duquesne Light, provide assistance for low-income families to help pay their utility bills. Similar assistance is offered through other companies and programs, and homeowners can obtain further information from Conservation Consultants, Inc. (http://www.ccicenter.org)
