I love the strength of the iron, and the fact that you can take an “unbreakable” natural element and carve it into an amazing decorative item truly blows my mind time and time again
Milwaukee, Wis (PRWEB) January 04, 2013
From iron to beauty -- Gonen Liberman has been making iron work dating back to his childhood in Israel working for his family-owned business. It’s something that’s literally and figuratively in his blood, which is why he’s proud to share his work with the citizens of his current hometown of Milwaukee.
Liberman’s business, Iron Creations and http://www.Ironcreationsusa.com, is now inviting people to check out his impressive line of iron mastery at his Milwaukee studio at 2201 Unit 3 West Bender Road.
"I encourage people to stop by and see my work," Liberman said.
His studio will displays his current work and future work, as people can see how he turns iron into something extraordinary.
These timeless iron pieces have been enjoyed by many residents and businesses throughout the United States. From railings, gates, balconies and furniture, iron has always been the metal of choice for Liberman, who moved and opened his business in Milwaukee in 1999.
“I love the strength of the iron, and the fact that you can take an “unbreakable” natural element and carve it into an amazing decorative item truly blows my mind time and time again,” said Liberman, who studied realistic sketching at the Avni Institute of Art and Design in Tel Aviv. “I also love iron more than other metals because, in my opinion, it showcases tremendous power and elegance that you cannot find in other materials – not even wood.”
Although Liberman came from Israel, one of his most influential metalworkers is Cyril Colnik, a Milwaukeean blacksmith whose iron work is admired throughout the Cream City. The 19th century blacksmith almost exclusively used iron in his creations, including when he won an award at the 1893 World’s Fair in Chicago for his work called “Masterpiece.”
Some of Liberman’s masterpieces take from 90-120 days to complete, but any wait is certainly worth it.
