Govsphere Inc., a dynamic and rapidly growing government consulting firm based in Syracuse, New York, today announced that it is expanding its academic research partnership with Syracuse University (SU) through a $10,000 donation to the Center for Convergence and Emerging Networking Technologies (CCENT) laboratory. The contribution will allow SU graduate students within the School of Information Studies to work on next-generation information technology research and development (R&D) initiatives in collaboration with Govsphere personnel at its corporate headquarters facility in downtown Syracuse.

The special projects supported by the CCENT donation will include:

  • Developing private cloud infrastructures that yield the benefits of cloud computing while maintaining control over corporate information.
  • Utilizing real-time collaboration and network monitoring platforms to protect corporate networks from cyber-attacks.
  • Building next-generation green IT infrastructures using recycled IT equipment and components.
