Greg Hoffman is back in the Public Relations business after an 8-year redirect into the internet marketing industry. Under the umbrella of Greg Hoffman Consulting, an affiliate program management agency, Hoffman is adding media relations and social media to its list of services for online merchants.

GHC has a long list of respectable ecommerce merchants that have affiliate programs on networks such as ShareASale and Commission Junction. Hoffman recognized that many of these clients could benefit from his former expertise at helping businesses gain publicity through media placement. "Public relations is a perfect complement to any online retailer, especially those that have affiliate programs," Hoffman said. "I want to give them every opportunity to build their brand and sell more products online."

Hoffman began his PR career in 1997 and continued until 2005. He has written dozens of press releases since then for search engine optimization purposes and is now ready to build a solid team of PR professionals to assist his existing clients and others in the performance marketing arena. Joining the GHC PR Team is Mariah Fairweather, a University of Alabama graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree in PR and a minor in psychology. As a student, Fairweather led the LessThanUthink campaign, directed the student PR firm, Capstone Agency and interned at Busch Gardens Tampa.

Specifically, the GHC team will develop PR strategy, press release writing and distribution and implement a media relations plan for Business to Business, Business to Consumer, local and national broadcast, radio, newspapers, magazines and major websites.

Social media is the second new service offered to GHC clients. Another new installment to the GHC team is Nathan Smith, a bottomless pool of creativity, according to Hoffman. Smith, known internationally as CoffeeNate, turns consumers into brand ambassadors and will create comprehensive social media plans for GHC clients. In coordination with public relations and affiliate marketing management, the GHC social media strategy includes: brand awareness, content creation, audience building and reputation management.
