The MyShindigs model is a challenging one for other event management software companies to overcome in the sense that as mentioned the on-site event creation and promotion features are all free. Dot com sites that charge licensing fees for SAS type models also have increased competition from the robust MyShindigs website. Members of MyShindigs are able to register, create events, invite an unlimited number of members, record attendance to parties and events, add photos and videos, promote to other site members, publish public events to Google and much more. The site is relevant and useful to individuals, entrepreneurs, companies, event organizers, promoters, charities, levels of government and so forth.
Signup onto the site was slow at first, but in the past few months membership has rapidly increased to over a thousand members per month.
