HomeValue.us.org is launching a massive customer service staff retraining program in order to streamline the complaint resolution process.
“You can't run a business without dealing with customer complaint problems,” a company spokesman said. “But what you can do is make sure every customer complaint is handled as quickly and fairly as possible.”
The company said that both front-end customer service representatives and management will undergo the complaint resolution training program.
“For the program to be effective, both staff and management have to understand the best ways to deal with complaint resolution,” the spokesman said. “They need to work together as a team whenever a customer comes to us with a complaint.”
The training program will have the customer service reps do simulated complaint calls from customers. Once they have settled the complaint, they will be evaluated and other members of the team will brainstorm ways that the complaint could have been handled more easily.
Over time, the different members of the training team will introduce better complaint resolution techniques. Then, new complaint resolution processes and rules will be put into place.
“What makes this training program different is that it seeks out the input of the team that is being trained,” the spokesman said. “That way, new ways to deal with complaints emerge organically.”
Management will also role play, being customer service representatives dealing with complaints from customers.
“Making management understand just how challenging it can be to deal with a customer complaint will make them understand how they can better support their staff,” the spokesman said. “They too will then be given a chance to suggest innovative ways to deal with a customer complaint.”
