Hope For The Warriors® has played a huge part in helping me and my family in a variety of ways including supporting my participation in marathons, triathlons and other sporting events around the world since my injury.

NEW YORK, NY (PRWEB) June 20, 2013

FERIDIES®, a family owned manufacturer of Virginia peanuts known the world over and Hope For The Warriors®, a national nonprofit organization that supports wounded U.S. service members, their families, and families of the fallen announced today a partnership to promote 18oz cans of Hope For The Warriors® Salted Virginia Peanuts. FERIDIES® and Hope For The Warriors® will work together to market this gourmet specialty snack food to raise money for our national heroes.

FERIDIES® is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year and is widely recognized for its selection of super extra large gourmet Virginia type peanuts. Their award winning Salted Peanuts are their number one seller and will be promoted with a private label featuring the Hope For The Warriors® logo to customers around the USA. FERIDIES® will donate $1.00 from the sale of each can to the non-profit organization. The new product will be unveiled at the Summer Fancy Food Show in New York, NY, from June 30-July 2, 2013 in FERIDIES® Booth #4400 at the Jacob Javits Center.

Corporal Manny Jimenez, USMC (Ret.) and Purple Heart Recipient and close personal friend to the FERIDIES® family will be representing Hope For The Warriors® throughout the show event to help promote the peanuts and the organization. In addition, approximately 10 additional service members and other Hope For The Warriors® representatives will be attending the show on various days as guests of FERIDIES® and the Fancy Food Show.

FERIDIES® only selects the top 2% of the crop each year and roasts them in small batches in pure peanut oil. Virginia Peanuts are a type of peanut known for their large size, crunchy texture and high nutritional value. Peanuts are naturally cholesterol free, contain 0 trans fats, lots of vitamins and minerals and are a great source of protein…perfect for the Team Hope For The Warriors® athletes. Retailers may purchase cases of 12 cans of the product to sell in their stores and FERIDIES® will donate $12.00 to Hope For The Warriors® for each case sold. In addition, consumers will be able to purchase direct on line at feridies.com and hopeforthewarriors.org beginning August 1, 2013. The Peanut Patch, the FERIDIES® gift shop along Rt. 58 bypass in Courtland, Virginia will also be selling the award-winning peanuts. $1.00 will be donated by FERIDIES® from the sale of all cans.

“For 40 years, our family has been promoting only the best Virginia peanuts around the world. It is only fitting that we support Americas’ best…from all branches of the military who have given of themselves to ensure our freedoms”, says Jane Riddick-Fries, Co-Owner of FERIDIES®. “Hope For The Warriors® is an awesome organization and we are proud to partner with them to raise money for our heroes” says, Ted Fries, Co-Owner of FERIDIES®.

The FERIDIIES® family became connected to Hope For The Warriors® through their friend, Manny Jimenez who was injured in an IED blast in Afghanistan in 2010 while serving with the United States Marine Corps. “Hope For The Warriors® has played a huge part in helping me and my family in a variety of ways including supporting my participation in marathons, triathlons and other sporting events around the world since my injury”, says Manny. “I am grateful for all that they have done for me and my fellow servicemen and women and thankful to FERIDIES® for their support of such a giving organization.”

Monies raised from the sale of the peanuts will assist the immediate and future needs of combat service members and military families assisted by Hope For The Warriors®. Their programs offer a full cycle to restore self, family and hope to post-9/11 service members, veterans and military families.
