The Real Estate Marketing Insider by Tobias Nergarden released its weekly “Top 3” feature, which tackles a pressing issue in the real estate market and offers advice. This week, the Insider detailed the top three ways that home buyers and sellers can ensure that they find a good real estate agent to help them find a new home or sell a current one.
The Insider tackled this issue after a story appeared in The Washington Post detailing homeowners’ search for real estate representation. The Post reported a few problems with realtor and client relations. According to J.D. Power and Associates, home buyers in 2012 had the lowest level of satisfaction with their realtors since 2007. Buyers often consent to using a “dual agent,” or the same agent who is in charge of representing the seller. This presents problems later in the process as the agent can’t fully address either client’s needs.
