"Not only is the new website a much better representation of who we are, but we added several features that are intended to get people to visit the site regularly." Eric Parker, Owner.
Grapevine, Texas (PRWEB) October 29, 2012
Willhoite's restaurant in Grapevine, Texas, is a local landmark and popular watering hole for both residents and tourists. Located on Grapevine's historic Main Street, thousands of people visit Willhoite's throughout the year, especially during the city's street festivals. However, Willhoite's needed to increase its online visitors and hired i5 web works to design a custom website with interactive features and shopping cart.
"Although Willhoite's has been around for more than 30 years and is well-known, we had not utilized the Internet to bring new customers through the door," stated owner Eric Parker, noting the agreement with i5 web works also includes Internet hosting and management services, and search engine optimization (SEO). "Not only is the new website a much better representation of who we are, but we added several features that are intended to get people to visit the site regularly."
Capturing the rustic interior of Willhoite's, which includes a 1928 Model T Ford atop the soup and salad bar, the home page features a rotating banner of images flanked by the daily buffet menu and weekly entertainment schedule. Drink specials, the menu, and merchandise are prominently located underneath with direct links to each section. An online shopping cart allows people to order Willhoite's shirts, hats and koozies online. At the bottom of the page are a location map, newsletter signup, Facebook feed, and Flickr photo gallery.
According to Carita Weaver, co-founder and partner of i5 web works, it was important to include these interactive features on the site to engage locals and educate people from out of the area.
“We wanted this website to be both fun and informational, which is why we included an entertainment calendar, daily specials, social media, and a section about Grapevine's history and attractions,” explains Weaver. “Now that the website has launched, we will put our SEO skills to work to get it ranked for the appropriate search terms. A website is not an effective sales tool if people can't find it.”
The custom website is organized into six primary sections to quickly direct visitors to the information they are seeking:
- About Us provides historical information about Willhoite's and Grapevine, along with a photo gallery and links to area attractions.
- Entertainment Calendar displays live bands throughout the month.
- Dine With Us includes menus for lunch, dinner, late night and Sunday brunch.
- Catering explains the services available and link to the catering menu.
- Party Rooms provides descriptions and photos of private areas available for use.
- Contact Us has a quick form that can be emailed directly to Willhoite's staff.
“Unlike most other forms of marketing and advertising, internet marketing efforts are easily tracked and results are typically seen much faster,” explains Michael Burns, principal and co-founder of i5 Web Works, noting the company is certified and trained in SEO and PPC services. “A business can have a beautiful web site, but if prospective clients are not finding it when they search for your products and services, then it is not an effective website. We help businesses be found!”
