Houston, TX (PRWEB) March 05, 2013

iland™ Internet Solutions, the global cloud infrastructure provider and VMware Service Provider Partner of the Year Global and Americas 2012, today announced it is a participating member of the VMware Cloud Credits Purchasing Program. Customers currently using VMware virtualization technology that want a simple on-ramp to a public or hybrid cloud can purchase cloud credits which can be redeemed for cloud infrastructure services from iland within 12 months of purchasing the credits.

With the new VMware Cloud Credits Purchasing Program, customers will be able to maximize their existing investment in VMware technology by accessing iland’s compatible cloud infrastructure to take advantage of public or hybrid clouds. For example, a large global enterprise that requires access to cloud infrastructure because it needs expanded capacity for existing workloads or an organization with a special project that requires testing in a cost-effective, secure cloud environment can redeem their cloud credits to gain access to iland’s cloud environment with the knowledge that a secure, high availability cloud is available. iland’s cloud environment is used by hundreds of customers for a range of solutions including testing and development, training, production and disaster recovery.

“We are delighted to participate in the VMware Cloud Credits Purchasing Program and believe it offers tremendous opportunities for customers looking to transition some or all of their applications to a cloud environment. The way in which iland’s cloud infrastructure is architected makes it particularly appealing to enterprise level customers that want to take advantage of stringent security and controls – particularly those customers that operate in highly regulated industries or have complex solutions requirements,” commented Dante Orsini, SVP Business Development, iland. “As a Premier Partner in the VMware Service Provider Program we are also looking forward to working with VMware solution providers to help them build robust cloud practices by offering value-added cloud services that open up new avenues for customers.”

“We are pleased that iland is participating in the VMware Cloud Credits Purchasing Program,” said Geoff Waters, Senior Director, Cloud Service Provider Program, VMware. “This program offers an opportunity for customers to take advantage of public or hybrid clouds with trusted service providers, such as iland, that enable secure and compliant cloud infrastructure. The program allows customers to pre-purchase public and hybrid cloud spend in one transaction without needing to know their public or hybrid cloud services requirements in advance because cloud credits can be applied whenever they are needed as business demands dictate. We are looking forward to working with iland to help provide our customers robust and reliable hybrid cloud services.”
