ImStupid.org, a recently launched humor & news outlet which calls itself the official "Im Stupid" website, has embarked on an ambitious new mission. Their goal, according to a post on their blog, is to hold a "tournament of ideas" to decide, once and for all, what the stupidest t-shirt in the entire world is.
"We're pretty much open to any stupid ideas," said Noel Abbott, one of the site's founders. "Basically, we want to come up with a wide variety of some of the most idiotic T-shirt designs that it's possible to think of, and then we want to figure out which one is truly the dumbest. I will personally be coming up with quite bad ideas a few on my own, but we'll also be open to considering ideas from outside parties."
Nominations are completely open to the public: to nominate a t-shirt idea, one must simply email the photo, image, or concept to contact(at)imstupid(dot)org. The nomination period ends on November 20th, at which point the "finalists" will be put on display for a round of voting. Whoever submits the winning design will receive a free copy of their T-Shirt design.
ImStupid.org was launched on November 6th of this year: yes, that's election day. It's fair to say that scheduling a grand opening for election day would not seem like a move that most typical online start-ups would make, but on the other hand, ImStupid.org is not your typical online start-up. Their stated mission is "to discuss and explore stupidity in its many forms, and hopefully shed some light on the issue." In addition to a catalog of funny t-shirts, Im Stupid also offers a list of bizarre and humorous videos, strange news articles, and gag gift ideas.
The ImStupid.org website was designed by HappyChap Media, a Bellingham web development company specializing in small business website design.
