The subscriber base for ELK Asia Pacific Journal of Marketing and Retail Management, published by ELK Asia Pacific Journals, saw a record rise over the last financial year. Between April 2012 and March 2013, the company received over 500 requests for fresh subscription.
During the previous financial year, the company had received 400 requests for new subscriptions.
Even the renewals for existing subscriptions saw an increase, as almost 90% of the existing clients renewed their subscription for the coming year. When compared to the previous year’s figure of 70% renewals, there was a considerable rise in this segment too. Announcing the developments, the director of the company, Mr. Puneet Chadha said that the rise in the subscription base was expected since the company had made conscious efforts during the last fiscal year to enhance the quality of its journals. Moreover, many promotional activities were undertaken by the marketing team.
While earlier, the journal received contributions only from authors in India, now research authors from the entire Asia Pacific region contribute to the journal, thus enhancing the scope of its contents. The editorial team also saw many distinguished research editors and subject matter experts joining throughout the past year; thus, significantly boosting the quality of research papers and articles that are published in the journals. The editors have relevant experience and have been associated with reputed universities in UK and USA.
Another important initiative by the company was the launch of a dedicated website, http://www.elkjournals.com, for three activities – promoting the journals, calling for research papers and accepting subscriptions. The response for this site has been satisfactory, as over 100 readers have registered themselves with the site.
