A recent article from http://www.alcoholaddiction.info cites that a marked increase in the abuse of alcohol by teens is alarming authorities. In line with this, author and long term substance abuser who broke the incapacitating chains of his compulsion, Justin Happy, offers a valuable tool in breaking away from alcoholism, smoking and gambling in his new book titled True Nature.

Justin Happy recalls that his thinking has been altered since his twelfth year when he started smoking and drinking alcohol. He drank beer, sniffed gas and lit curse words at a tender age. Growing up, he caught himself in serious trouble most of the time. Stealing from stores and picking fights became a routine. Apart from his vices, Happy had issues in establishing relationships. Aside from his family and beer buddies, he never had a real lasting relationship with anyone. But instead of facing his issues, he resorted to the fleeting comfort of reality-altering substances.

Tired of paying the consequences of his dependency to alcohol and drugs, he began the first few steps to change his life completely. Realizing his addiction cost him his reputation and his life, not to mention a huge sum of money, he wanted to get rid of his obsession and start anew. But the path back to sobriety is not a smooth road. He would stay clear-headed for a good number of days but was on his way back to the old ways in no time. Not too long thereafter, he underwent a change of heart. Through a strong desire, he ended it once and for all. Today and still counting, he has been sober for 11 years.

His life was a devastation highlighted by attempts to renew himself then going back to his sullied habits. But there comes that circumstance when one hopes to find the true meaning and purpose in life. Untying the knots of substance dependency opens the door to a real and purposeful life. True Nature is a striking autobiography filled with valuable, life-slapping lessons for alcoholics and non-alcoholics alike.
