Reico Kitchen & Bath is on a mission to help spread word and support for February’s National Green Week. As a community leader, Reico Kitchen & Bath is leading by example by doubling the amount of materials the kitchen and bath distributor recycled or reused in 2012. Together with their showrooms and warehouses, Reico recycled over 406,940 thousand pounds of cabinets, laminate, cardboard, paper, cans, bottles and metal versus the 202 thousand pounds in 2011.

“We are proud of the daily efforts of all of our own people here at Reico Kitchen & Bath who make the conscious effort to recycle basic materials on a daily basis as well as assist clients in finding products and great designs that promote a more eco-friendly way of living,” says Jim Grace, director of marketing at Reico Kitchen & Bath. “We also applaud our many clients who are equally or more committed to these behaviors as well as the recycling and reusing of their own kitchen and bathroom materials.”
Go Green Week is an annual, national week of action on climate change to raise awareness and promote practical solutions for a low-carbon future. By being a leader and teaching others about the importance of protecting the environment through recycling, reusing and reducing waste, communities learn that simple decisions can combat monumental environmental problems.

Reico Kitchen & Bath is committed to implementing business practices that minimize environmental impact. Whether it’s in the design or removal and haul away of old materials, “going green” is critical to Reico. Reuse organizations including Habitat for Humanity and The Loading Dock help Reico in their continuation of recycling as they strive to reduce their carbon footprint. The kitchen and bath remodeling experts go the extra mile offering virtual meetings to clients allowing them to meet from their home or office to save the unnecessary extra trips to Reico’s showroom.
