Krishagni Enables University of New South Wales (Australia) to Adopt caTissue Plus

Krishagni, developer of caTissue Plus - an Enterprise edition of NCI caTissue, will integrate caTissue Plus with Aperio imaging system and OmniLab pathology system for UNSW, and provide ongoing support for the next three years. caTissue, developed by National Cancer Institute (NCI), is a free and open source Biobanking LIMS software.

Krishagni Solutions today announces collaboration with Translational Cancer Research Network (TCRN) of the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney, Australia to adopt the caTissue Plus Application.

caTissue is a biospecimen management tool developed as part of the caBIG® program, a National Cancer Institute (NCI) initiative. caTissue accelerates research discoveries and improves patient outcomes by linking researchers, physicians, and patients throughout the cancer community. caTissue Plus is an Open Source initiative of Krishagni Solutions to enhance NCI’s version of caTissue with new features, usability and performance enhancements.

In addition to providing support to the TCRN for the adoption of caTissue Plus, Krishagni will also provide ongoing SLA based support for next three years; integrate caTissue Plus with their pathology information system, digital pathology imaging information system, and data migration of two legacy databases. “Krishagni is an integral to the deployment of caTissue Plus at TCRN. Krishagni’s intimate knowledge of caTissue and biobanking domain makes them most suited," said Information Manager, Translational Cancer Research Network UNSW.

Krishagni is an offshore software product development and services company focused on informatics for clinical research based in India. “Many members of our team have been involved in the development of caTissue since 2005. Our team has intimate knowledge of the caTissue product and its technology is based on our active involvement in providing support on the NCI Forums to the caTissue community," said Mr Srikanth Adiga, CEO and Founder of Krishagni. "The first version of caTissue Plus has been adopted in Washington University and is under evaluation in other centres. The adoption at UNSW further confirms the need for such an initiative. We will continue to invest in caTissue with Plus v2.0 being available in Nov/2012 and Plus v3.0 scheduled to be released in early 2013."
