Long Island, NY (PRWEB) May 01, 2013
Long Island Exchange, Inc. (http://www.longislandexchange.com), a privately owned media company providing Long Islanders with a wealth of information, news, local business data, and resources for planning activities in the area, announced today the consolidation of eleven digital media properties into one “mother ship media empire.”
The web site, longislandexchange.com, reports information on the Long Island area and provides locals with news and information on business, entertainment and events to residents.
The digital asset consolidation consisted of some of the Long Island areas original web portals such as MyLongIsland.com (1998), lieye.com (1998), liscene.com (1998), LIcentral.com (1999), LongIslandInfo.com (1999). The consolidation also included LIRealEstate.net, LINewYork.net, LIGazette.com, LIConnection.com and LongIsland.info.
“These digital consolidations are a strategic framework for providing our team a better ability to produce and editorially maintain high-quality targeted content, from one local and regional information portal,” said John Colascione, Founder and Managing Partner.
The Long Island Exchange continues to invest in digital properties, most recently announcing the acquisition of LIUsedCars.com, its automotive advertising service as a complement to its local customer capture capabilities.
