Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) November 01, 2012
In an effort to give back to the Los Angeles community, Velocity Network Solutions has developed a new social media campaign called “Follow for Food” to benefit the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank this Thanksgiving. The campaign is focused on building the Los Angeles IT provider’s LinkedIn network by donating $1.00 to the L.A. Food Bank on behalf of each “follower” of Velocity Network Solutions on LinkedIn. Velocity’s President, Thad Gerber, noted, “$1.00 doesn’t seem like much but it actually provides 4 meals to those in need.”
Dustin Hall, Velocity’s Sales & Marketing Manager, shed further light on the campaign, “The goal is to raise at least $250, which will feed a minimum of 1,000 people for Thanksgiving this year.” Hall continued, “What makes this campaign wonderful is it’s simplicity—the public clicks once on the follow button, we donate on their behalf and thousands of hungry people in Los Angeles get fed.”
The Follow for Food campaign runs from Nov.1st to Nov.19th so that the donation can be made in time for Thanksgiving. The results of the Follow for Food campaign will be announced on November 20th on the Velocity Network Solutions homepage.
Anyone can participate in this campaign by visiting Velocity Network Solutions online and clicking on the “follow” button.
