Poole, Dorset (PRWEB) December 07, 2012
Mercedes-Benz’s newest arrival is in ‘A-Class’ of its own – it’s set to take the premium compact car segment by storm.
The eagerly-anticipated new Mercedes A-Class is now available for test drives at Mercedes-Benz of Poole, Salisbury and Dorchester.
There is already huge interest in the new A-Class – fuelled by an innovative TV advertising campaign involving Twitter and the X Factor.
The campaign used Twitter to encourage viewers to interact with a three-part commercial shown during the X Factor’s ad breaks.
“The Mercedes A-Class is a car that certainly boasts the X Factor in its own right,” said Jacksons Group Marketing Manager Michelle East.
“Motorists cannot fail to be impressed by the A-Class with its sporty styling, athletic performance and specifications.”
The new A-Class has been designed to appeal to a broader cross-section of drivers than its predecessor – thanks to its enhanced efficiency and extensive choice of model lines.
The new A-Class is the first Mercedes-Benz to achieve CO2 emissions below 100g/km – the A180 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY returns 98g/km and an impressive 74.3mpg (combined).
Also contributing to its low running costs are features such as the ECO start/stop function which comes as standard.
ECO start/stop cuts the engine to save fuel when the car’s speed drops below 5mph and then re-starts it again automatically.
Priced at £18,945 on-the-road, the entry-level A180 BlueEFFICIENCY petrol boasts MP3 and Bluetooth compatibility but prospective owners can choose to upgrade via a range of other models:
As you would expect from a Mercedes-Benz, the safety credentials of the new A-Class are second-to-none.
In addition to ESP, Active Bonnet, Adaptive Brake with Hold function and Hill-Start Assist, the standard specification incorporates the radar-based Collision Prevention Assist, which can reduce the risk of nose-to-tail incidents.
The innovative Attention Assist is also included – the system monitors driver behaviour via steering wheel movements to detect and alert against drowsiness.
The A-Class also offers new levels of connectivity and – for the first time – Mercedes-Benz has integrated the Apple iPhone comprehensively.
The first orders for right-hand drive versions of the A-Class will drive out of the Mercedes-Benz Poole, Salisbury and Dorchester showrooms before the end of the year.
But such is demand, prospective owners looking for A-Class cars for sale in the Bournemouth, Salisbury and Dorchester areas are being encouraged to register their interest sooner rather than later.
