Micro Matic, leaders in beverage dispensing technology will be attending the NRA Show 2013 and will be proud to offer free consultations and quotes from its beverage dispensing experts. NRA brings restaurant equipment buyers and operators looking to drive business profitability and shape the future of the restaurant, foodservice and hospitality industry. Micro Matic’s experts will provide consultations in the areas of: beer system design, beer system profitability, and wine on tap.
2013 represents the sixth year Micro Matic have exhibited at the NRA show but the first time that attendees will be able to receive beverage system quotes on-site. This year Micro Matic is located at booth number 806 in the South Hall with 1800 square feet of exhibition space. The space is to be filled with hands-on equipment for visitors to gain a better understanding of how keg beer and wine systems operate and the benefits they will realize at their establishment. Industry experts will be in the booth to meet visitors, answer questions, and provide advice.
Designing a Beer System
Micro Matic’s draft beer system design approach, the M3 System, is based on simplicity. Clients answer three questions to begin the process of designing and quoting a beer system: How many beers on tap? What is the distance from the keg to the glass? Which draft tower complements the style at the location?
To walk through this process and provide on-site quotes at the NRA show, Neil Cahill, Dispense System Design Manager for Micro Matic USA, Inc. will be available to discuss the design of beer systems. Neil has been with Micro Matic serving in a number of different roles for 14 years and his résumé includes the design of thousands of beer systems in the U.S. and overseas. Neil works with designers and restaurant equipment suppliers to improve the quality of equipment and dispensing of draft beer.
Asked about his role at Micro Matic and what NRA attendees can expect to learn at their exhibit, Cahill said, “When I’m designing a draft beer system for a customer I make sure to address Micro Matic’s 10 Key Elements. Each beer system is designed for the specific installation and is unique to the location. Micro Matic being a total solutions company, I design systems for the end user’s maximum profitability and look forward to working and building long-term relationships with our customers on numerous projects.”
Attendees can speak with Neil and get a free beer system quote at the Micro Matic booth #806.
iDraught – Perfection Measured
Also on-hand at NRA will be Ken Hehir, Vice President, Commercial for Vianet Americas, Micro Matic’s partner in draft profitability. At the NRA show, Ken will be discussing the profitability and peace of mind that on-premise operators can achieve by leveraging draft beer monitoring technology.
Regarding draft beer profitability Ken Hehir explains, “I, and the team at Vianet, enjoy working with clients ranging from independents to multi-unit operators, helping them increase profitability and operational efficiency. iDraught is a powerful tool that can help them realize the full profit potential of draught beer and deliver a great product to the consumer.”
Keg yield management is key to delivering great margins from draught products. By measuring the exact volume of the beer dispensed, issues are quickly identified and addressed. From staff training to dispense management problems, action can be taken before yields suffer. Integrating the EPOS data with iDraught ensures that all drinks served across the bar actually make it into the till and are not impacted by poor staff practice.
Wine On Tap – Fine Varietals are now in Keg
Dan Donahoe, the founder and chairman of Free Flow Wines will be at the Micro Matic booth at NRA. Dan has been at the forefront of the premium wine on tap movement since its inception. Wine on tap has seen an explosion in popularity in recent years as on-premise operators are afforded the opportunity to deliver quality wine directly to the consumer, from cellar to keg to glass without losing integrity or flavor - every glass of wine is fresh and tastes exactly the way the winemaker intended.
One on-premise operator Michael Decanio, Director Food & Beverage at St. Regis Hotel in Houston, Texas, says of his experience with wine on tap, “After installing a 4-tap kegerator from Micro Matic, I now offer 4 wines on tap. I have increased speed of service and eliminated all spoilage. St. Regis guests expect high quality wines. With wine on tap, I serve every guest a guaranteed-fresh glass of fine wine, every time.”
Wine on tap also reduces the cost of traditional bottle packaging and transportation. By eliminating traditional packaging (bottles, corks, capsules, labels and cases), there is a great deal less to ship and recycle, lowering the carbon footprint. Each wine keg holds the equivalent of 26 bottles. Wine in keg has allowed the wine and hospitality industries to move away from bottles to a sustainable, environmentally-friendly delivery system that maintains wine integrity from the barrel to the tap.
