Warrenton, VA (PRWEB) May 09, 2013
Marketing and public relations specialist McKinsey Development was named a finalist in three 2013 American Business Awards (ABA) categories, including marketing agency of the year, ABA announced today.
An integrated marketing campaign for client Old Town Athletic Club is a finalist in the Consumer Marketing Campaign of the Year for Health Products and Services. The “Inspirations” campaign features actual club members and employees conveying what motivates them to make health and wellness core parts of their lifestyles.
The firm also is a finalist in the Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year (up to 100 employees), which recognizes non-profit and philanthropic contributions. McKinsey Development’s philanthropic efforts start with allowing each employee to spend a certain number of paid, on-the-clock hours per month volunteering for a cause of his or her choice. The firm itself also supports many local organizations through financial contributions and in-kind donations.
“While our primary motivation is ensuring our work meets each client’s expectations, being recognized among our peers is certainly an honor, especially when specific campaigns are singled out,” says McKinsey Development CEO Crystal McKinsey. “For us, the other two nominations go hand-in-hand. As a firm, we believe that giving back is part of being good at what you do. We’re fortunate to be in an incredible community that includes both visionary business leaders and driven nonprofit organizations.“
Some 3,200 nominations from organizations of all sizes and many industries were submitted for 2013 ABA Stevie Awards. Finalists were picked by 140 nationwide business professionals during preliminary judging in April and May.
Nine specialized judging committees will select winners from among the finalists later this month.
