International Cooperating Ministries (ICM), a nonprofit organization whose mission is to nurture believers and assist Church growth worldwide, has announced artist/songwriter Bekah Evans’ new release, “Mom’s Song.” For a donation of $20 toward church building projects around the world, receive a Mother’s Day card, CD and mailing envelope. Hear the song online at http://www.icm.org/momsong. The deadline for ordering is April 26.
Evans wrote “Mom’s Song” for her own mother years ago, though it was only after God recently brought her to a new position as MBC Coordinator for ICM that His plans for the song unfolded. After sharing the song with ICM Music Ministry Director Mark Carman, the two traveled to Nashville to record what Carman has called “the mother’s version of ‘Butterfly Kisses’.” Now that the track has been officially released, proceeds from the track and an accompanying Mother’s Day CD card will go to church building projects around the world—for God’s glory!
“There’s just something about the bond between a girl and her mom,” states Evans. “My mom is someone that I have always looked up to as a girl, and desired to emulate as a young woman. When I was just a broke college student, I wrote this song for her as a Mother’s Day present, and Mom liked it so much that I had it played to honor her at my wedding as she walked down the aisle."
“Mom’s Song” speaks to the heart of generations of women who can identify with a daughter’s view of her mother’s beauty, strength, wisdom, and legacy through her growing-up years. It will touch your heart with its simple message of passing on your life and faith to future generations by the simple act of living it out in front of others.
ICM is a ministry of the Rosser Foundation, a public charity tax-exempt 501(c)(3), and is located at 1901 N. Armistead Ave. in Hampton, Va.
