Madwork, Zoe Ann and 4Peepz Top the BEAT100 Original Music Video Chart

We were searching for sites where we could publish our latest video clips and immediately we saw the great differences between BEAT100 and other platforms. It's not only a sharing platform, but a real community.

First place in this week’s BEAT100 Original Music Video Charts, and a first for the genre of 'Electro-Metal', went to Italian five-piece band, Madwork, for their original song, 'Leaving All Behind'. The track is awash with menacing guitar riffs and stomping beats. The track contains adrenaline soaked rock metal, with a mouthful of electronic, razor sharp teeth, and a tongue which spits samples at anything brave enough to try and tame it. BEAT100 users worldwide voted in their thousands to see the tune top the chart and help the band to a tasty $300 cash prize!

Speaking exclusively to BEAT100 News, the band said, “We found BEAT100.com surfing the web. We were searching for sites where we could publish our latest video clips and immediately we saw the great differences between BEAT100 and other platforms. It's not only a sharing platform, but a real community.” It's not the first bit of recognition for the band though. In 2012, they were snapped up by one of Italy's biggest record labels, Underground Symphony. “We found a music producer to drive us in composing and arranging our new songs and then signed a record deal with Symphony Records for the release of our second full-length album. It's one of the most historic in Italy, so we were obviously delighted with that, but winning BEAT100's Original Chart was an unexpected and extremely important result. Also, we thank everyone who voted for us!"

Second place and the $200 cash prize were won by teenage rock singer, Zoe Ann. The feisty Texan is hotly tipped in her homeland to make the breakthrough after collaborations with the likes of Limp Bizkit and House of Pain's DJ, Lethal. Her original song 'Girlfriend' came in a close 2nd in this week’s BEAT100 Original Music Video Charts with over 2000 votes from other users of the network. The song is a fast, all-American pop/rock track that is sure to be a hit with summer festival dwellers!

Zoe recently performed at the Austin, TX based SXSW Festival and received a massive reception from eager fans, both new and current. The young rocker was recently awarded with a BEAT100 Ultimate Musician Award for her fantastic vocal ability, impressive original songs and high quality videos. Zoe also received airplay from BEAT100’s partnering radio stations and her fan base is increasing worldwide by the week.

Germany-based hip hop stars, 4Peepz, rolled off with $150 of BEAT100 prize cash with their original tune 'Berlin Nights'. The sound has hints of Detroit versus Chicago; dirty beats and catchy samples. Rather like the German super car, the Audi R8, this clan of rappers are producing tracks in galvanised steel, solid and well-crafted, polished and charming, but still snarling like an angry dog. It's easy to see why BEAT100 users voted for this video over 2000 times!
