Compton, CA (PRWEB) February 21, 2013
4 Wheel Parts, an industry leading retailer of aftermarket parts for the off-road industry, is proud to announce the launch of an optimized version of its e-commerce website, 4WheelParts.com. The improved site launched on February 12, 2013, and features several notable improvements for consumers over the previous version of the site.
The new 4 Wheel Parts website features a streamlined, multi-faceted search function to help customers quickly find the parts and equipment they want to buy. The site also provides an optimized search system that lets users select parts by attributes in addition to part numbers and keywords, returning consistently accurate results.
“The new website offers several notable improvements over the current site,” said Greg Adler, president and CEO of Transamerican Auto Parts. “The most important feature is the upgraded search capability that gives our customers the ability to find parts and equipment in two distinct ways. Users can select a Year/Make/Model system to narrow down vehicle search parameters, or they can use our new three-click product navigation system to find only vehicle-specific parts. This will save time and help us serve our online customers more efficiently.
“When redesigning the site,” Adler said, “we took customer feedback into account to offer a more informative experience.” The product detail pages for the new site features a search-by-attribute tool that helps customers drill down to the specific parts they need without sifting through dozens of unnecessary pages. The product detail pages have also been revamped to be condensed information centers for particular parts and equipment. Each page places emphasis on giving customers all of the information necessary to make an informed decision.
The navigation on the new site was redesigned from the ground-up. A main navigation window on the home page gives users a quick snapshot of the most popular product categories and with the click of a single link, the improved vehicle selection process takes over. For users that prefer to find products manually with keywords like Smittybilt or part numbers, the search bar takes a more prominent position in the top section of the home page.
One of the major upgrades that the new site offers is the Check Fitment feature. Check Fitment gives customers a useful tool to ensure that the parts they select will fit a specific vehicle before the customer commits to purchasing it. This will improve the user experience for customers and give them peace-of-mind.
“Another important improvement is the overall layout of the new website,” Adler said. “It gives our customers a fluid, user-friendly site that is fast, and it’s integrated with several social media platforms. The social media integration lets off-roaders give and receive advice, share stories about their builds, and quickly find the latest innovations in the industry.”
