At a time when other employers may be cutting and reducing employee benefits, Davis, Saperstein & Salomon, P.C., is proud to say that we are expanding the benefits we provide to our employees.
Teaneck, N.J. (PRWEB) April 20, 2013
The New Jersey personal injury law firm of Davis, Saperstein & Salomon, P.C., announced today that it was expanding its benefits for employees to include disability income protection at no cost to them.
“We take pride in the highly committed, compassionate and professional service that our legal team provides to our clients day in and day out,” said Garry R. Salomon, a veteran New Jersey personal injury attorney and the law firm’s managing partner. “We recognize our employees’ value to our firm and our clients, but we recognize even more their value to their families as providers.
“We want to help our employees to protect their family’s income by insuring it in case of a temporary or permanent interruption caused by a disability,” Salomon added. “At a time when other employers may be cutting and reducing employee benefits, Davis, Saperstein & Salomon, P.C., is proud to say that we are expanding the benefits we provide to our employees.”
According to Salomon, the firm’s benefits consultant, Joel Konikow of Konikow Associates, Inc., of Old Tappan, N.J., had proposed adding the benefit for the firm’s professional staff only. Salomon, immediately asked about providing income protection for the entire staff and ultimately decided upon providing the benefit for the entire office.
“Many of our staff members have been with us for decades, so why would we not protect them and their families from a loss of income due to a disability?” Salomon said. “I am proud of what they have done for our clients, and I am proud to do this for them. Konikow Associates went on to design a plan that was reasonably priced and non-cancelable and which provided protection regardless of most pre-existing conditions.”
Disability income protection insures a worker’s income against the risk that a disabling injury or illness may prevent them from being able to earn wages.
Unlike workers’ compensation, the coverage is provided even if the disability is unrelated to the employee’s job. For instance, the worker may suffer serious injury in a non-work-related car accident or become stricken with a debilitating disease.
“Unfortunately, situations can arise that prevent one from working,” Salomon said. “If it ever happens, we want our employees and their families to know that they will be covered.”
