Government agencies, corporations and even small businesses are learning that digital security is now a primary concern. The online Master of Science in Criminal Justice Administration (MSCJA) at Loyola University New Orleans is answering that demand for cyber security professionals with a new specialization, Cyber Forensics Investigation and Administration, to offer the kinds of curricular and co-curricular experiences that federal agencies and the private sector most value in the computer security and intelligence field. A recipient of the Law Enforcement Purple Heart, Assistant Professor Robert Tarwacki, Ph.D., completed his doctorate in criminal justice at the The City University of New York Graduate Center. As a senior investigator assigned to the New York County District Attorney’s Office Cybercrime and Identity Theft Bureau, Tarwacki was directly involved in the formation of a new anti-crime initiative focused on computer crimes and identity theft. He was involved as principle investigator in numerous high-profile cases. He has participated in all facets of cybercrime investigation including raid planning, resource management, IP tracking, search and seizure, bag & tag, chain of custody, forensic examination and providing court testimony.
Tarwacki will be focusing on providing expertise by leading courses focusing on topics including cyber and surveillance law and governance, forensic management of digital evidence, cybercriminology, cybercrime and digital law enforcement.
